Richard Mayer is a licensed landscape architect (CA Lic. # 1517) who for 20 years has been a senior partner in Troller Mayer Associates, Inc. Richard has professional experience in the United States and abroad as a planner, designer, author and teacher. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Design from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University.

As a planner and designer, Richard has worked on a wide range of projects, specializing in master planning, program development, project implementation and administration. He has been the partner in charge of the firm's major projects, including work on parks, libraries, schools, public plaza and civic spaces, and commercial development.

Richard has served as Chair of Instructors and teaches in the Landscape Architecture Program at UCLA Extension and has taught at UC Davis, at Cal Poly Pomona, and the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel. He is author of numerous papers and articles pioneering ideas in energy conservation, community open space, the use of drought tolerant plants, sustainable landscape design, bicycle facility development, landscape restoration and end use planning of landfills.

Active in professional and community affairs, Richard Mayer serves on the City of Los Angeles Community Forest Advisory Committee and is a Board member of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust. He served as a member of the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council and as Co-Chair of its Land Use and Planning Committee. Mr. Mayer is a past president of the Southern California Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), and was a National ASLA Trustee.


Greg holds a BA in Fine Arts-Design from UCLA, a Masters Degree in Architecture from SCI-ARC and a Certificate in Landscape Architecture from UCLA Extension. Greg's background in design, building and construction management and extensive knowledge of plant materials, including California native plants, are assets he brings to each project. Greg acts as project manager for many of the firm's major projects and his organizational skills are evident in the way he keeps a project moving forward smoothly through all phases of development.


A graduate of USC with a Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Diana has an extensive background in the development of preliminary design exhibits and construction documents, ensuring an efficient construction process for all of our clients. Diana is proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator and all Microsoft Programs.


A graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Alexander Caiozzo has a strong background in visual arts, art history, lighting design, and horticulture, which were strengthened by the prestigious Italy Study Abroad Program. Alex is also a licensed arborist. He brings his organizational skills, creativity, attention to detail, and personal client service to every project.


John Massoud holds a BS in Architectural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt (1998), a Certificate of Completion Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T) from Pasadena City College (2000), and was enrolled in the UCLA Extension Certificate Program in Landscape Architecture. He also has a Certificate in AutoCAD from IBM World Trade Corporation (1997). John Massoud is proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Paint Shop, and provides in-house computer support in the preparation of drawings and construction documents.


Sharon Mayer holds a B.A. and a Master of Social Welfare (MSW) from UCLA. She has over 12 years experience in Land Use Planning as a deputy for former Councilman Michael Feuer and as a City Planner in the City of Los Angeles Department of City Planning. Ms. Mayer also has extensive experience in community participation processes. She currently provides land use consulting and permit processing services for the firm's clients.
